Toddler Approved Fruit Smoothies…

Smoothies are a big hit in our house. My toddler loves to drop the fruit in the pitcher and then push the buttons to turn it on and off. She is beyond thrilled with herself and loves the smoothie that much more because SHE made it! (She also runs over and tells her baby sister not to be scared of the loud noise. How sweet is that?!) I absolutely love my Ninja blender! This beast can blend ANYTHING! It’s a food processor and a blender all in one with multiple different settings and each setting has a timer, so you can be cleaning up while it’s working! I also love that it suctions to your countertop for extra sturdiness. Totally Mom-Friendly. I buy fresh organic produce, clean it and freeze it for smoothie prep. Freezing your fruit is crucial so that you don’t have to use ice and your smoothie becomes the right consistency. We’ve made up fun names for them, and while I’m not sure my toddler remembers which is which, she enjoys picking the name she likes best that day. I usually use OJ as my fruit juice, mainly because it is easy to find in an organic brand. You could easily add yogurt, chia seeds, or protein powder to any of these. All of these fruits are awesome together, but here are some of our favorite fruit smoothie combos!

*These recipes generally make about 2 cups of smoothie, which my daughter devours and I’m lucky to get a small glass!
